Sam Richard is a Senior Director with BGR’s State & Local Advocacy team and President of Government Affairs at Consilium Consulting, where he provides strategic counsel and direct advocacy for clients navigating complex legislative and regulatory landscapes across the Mountain West.
With nearly twenty years of experience working across policy and issue sets at every level of government, Sam helps companies, political campaigns, and nonprofit organizations develop and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies that drive favorable policy outcomes at the state and local levels.
Known for his proficiency in navigating the complexities of regulated industries, Sam also provides critical advocacy for clients in healthcare and human services, industrial and energy policy, animal welfare and food systems, and private markets.
A dedicated community leader, Sam currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Trail Association and the Next Gen Council of the Arizona State University Foundation. He previously served as an elected member of the Osborn Elementary School District’s Governing Board.
