Julia Young is a Policy Analyst for BGR’s International and Trade Practice. In this role, she provides research and analysis to clients on foreign policy, international trade, litigation, and due diligence. Julia also plays a key role in supporting the firm’s sovereign clients by conducting research and analysis, providing legislative updates, and developing briefing materials and reports.
Julia joined BGR as a Policy Analyst in the winter of 2024 after serving as a researcher and clerk at the firm. Prior to joining BGR, she worked at GlobalSource LLC, where she performed in-depth open-source research, market research, and overall intelligence to support ongoing projects and investigations. Julia graduated from Tulane University in 2023, majoring in Political Science with a focus on International Relations. While at Tulane, Julia held internships for several non-profit organizations. She served as a Senior Correspondent at the Organization for World Peace, where she collected and conducted research on relevant data and information pertaining to international crises to prepare published reports on the website. Julia also worked as a Mediation Strategy Intern at the Center for Peace Diplomacy, where she helped support and inform the organization’s Syrian Civil War mediation file.
Julia is originally from Virginia and moved back to the Washington area in July 2023.
