WASHINGTON, D.C., February 5, 2020—Heather Nauert, a former senior U.S. Department of State official and Fox News Channel anchor, has joined BGR Group’s advisory board.
Nauert served as Acting Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs from 2018 to 2019 and was Spokesperson for the Department of State from 2017 to 2019. Before working for the State Department, Nauert spent nearly 20 years as an anchor and reporter at Fox News and ABC News where she covered many of the world’s most consequential stories.

Based in New York, Heather serves as a member of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. She is also a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.
She was born in Rockford, Ill., and spent much of her childhood in Wisconsin. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and received her B.A. from Mount Vernon College. She lives with her husband and two children in New York.
