Andrew Asher serves as Of Counsel to BGR Government Affairs in Washington, D.C., while also practicing law and public policy counsel at the law firm he founded in Orlando, Fla. He has practiced for several years as a trusted and highly regarded legal professional with a practice concentration focused on commercial/civil litigation, administrative/political law and government contracting. Andrew’s clientele span fields such as capital investment funds; oil and gas exploration ventures; Hispanic broadcast media; commercial and residential development projects; travel, destination hospitality and entertainment operators; and financial services providers, among others. Additionally, he routinely advises and counsels federal and state political committees and candidates.

Preceding his legal career, Andrew worked in the U.S. Congress serving as a Legislative Assistant to current Florida Supreme Court Justice Charles T. Canady during his tenure as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In that role, he helped coordinate the bipartisan efforts of the Florida delegation to fund the environmental restoration of the Florida Everglades. Andrew also served on the staff of former Florida Senator Connie Mack, III.

Andrew is a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park. He is also a member of the Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the Orange County Bar Association, and he is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Delaware in 1995, and his JD from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, Calif., in 2002. Andrew lives in Winter Park, Fla., with his wife and their two children.
