Brendon Weiss Joins BGR as Chief Business Officer 

Washington, D.C. (May 13, 2025) – BGR Group, Washington’s premier bipartisan government and public affairs firm, announced today that Brendon Weiss has joined the firm as Chief Business Officer (CBO). In this role, Brendon will oversee the management and long-term planning of the firm’s growth objectives. Additionally, he will work with BGR’s leadership team and practice heads to implement tools that enhance service capabilities and client engagement.  

“Brendon’s experience as a private sector CEO, COO, and government affairs professional makes him uniquely positioned to help BGR Group manage and implement our next phase of growth,” BGR Chairman and CEO Bob Wood said. “We have long known Brendon and benefited from his insight and perspective. We are excited to have him formally join the team.”

Prior to joining BGR, Brendon served as the Co-Founder and CEO of EscrowTab, Inc., a fintech company he led through its successful acquisition. Prior to co-founding EscrowTab, Inc., Weiss was COO of MERSCORP Holdings, Inc., and Co-Head of Government Affairs at Intercontinental Exchange. Brendon began his career in government working on Capitol Hill and at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, before joining the New York Stock Exchange in 2010.  

Brendon received his MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and his B.A. from Northern Michigan University.

(April 29, 2025) – BGR Group, Washington, D.C.’s, premier bipartisan lobbying and public relations firm, today announced that Congressman Patrick McHenry, former Republican Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, is joining the firm’s Advisory Board. McHenry will provide clients with strategic counsel on issues ranging from financial services policy to tax and reconciliation updates. Comprised of policy experts and leaders in their field, BGR’s Advisory Board provides strategic guidance on issues ranging from financial services to health care to foreign policy to the political environment.

McHenry previously served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District from 2005 to 2025. During his tenure in the House, McHenry served as a member of the House Republican leadership, as Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, and as Speaker pro tempore of the House in the fall of 2023. As Chairman of House Financial Services, McHenry focused on issues ranging from expanding access to capital to a regulatory framework for stablecoins to digital asset innovation.
