Danny McNamara joined BGR in January 2011. As counsel, he ensures that BGR complies with its obligations under the Lobbying Disclosure Act, the Honest Leadership & Open Government Act, the Foreign Agents Registration Act and other applicable ethics laws and regulations. Additionally, Danny serves as a policy analyst and manages BGR’s legislative and regulatory research team.
Before coming to BGR, Danny served as the Daily Advisor to the Political Director of the Republican National Committee (RNC). While at the RNC, his responsibilities included monitoring political races and grassroots activities nationwide as well as tracking ballot initiatives and researching federal and state election laws. In addition to his work at the RNC, Danny has worked on several political campaigns including Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) 2008 presidential bid. His previous legal experience includes working as litigation associate at a law firm in his hometown of Savannah, Ga., as well as serving as a trial intern for the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office during law school.
Danny is a graduate of Williams College and Emory University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Washington D.C. and Georgia. Danny lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and daughters.
